The kitchen/galley is compact but complete with all the tools needed to prepare the lobster and steamers for an evening delight overlooking the beach below.
This is Sandy River Beach situated on the Chandler Bay, just four miles from Jonesport, Maine. The cottage sits on a bluff just above one of the few really sandy spots on this part of the coast. Shelling and beachcombing are always favorite pass times and this is the spot for both. Sit on the deck and watch the kids below on the beach, or join them and harvest those sea glass treasures you'll want to carry home. Who can forget that warm afternoon, a sunny clear sky, and the waves lapping the shore. Memories are made here that can last a lifetime.

A quiet little coastal fishing
village, Jonesport is just four short miles from the cottage and sports all
the necessities for camping on the shore. There are lobsters, clams and
fresh fish to be had right off the
boat at the pier. There is a grocery and a hardware store and
" Tall Barney's" a local restaurant of some repute. Jonesport is a
quaint and wonderful little harbor full of fishing boats, sea gulls, and the US Coast Guard station
for this part of the coast, just beyond the bridge. Connected by
that bridge, is Beals Island; easily accessible from the downtown and well
worth a day of exploring. Beautiful vistas abound in this area and
you'll meet some really nice folks too.

from the wooden stairway.
A little extra privacy is afforded in the separate bedroom.
Bunks for the kids and a bedroom for Mom and Dad.
The cottage comes fully equipped, you just bring the food the kids and some linens
Just a nice view of bay down the beach and a late afternoon tide.
This isn't Kansas Dorothy, but we do have rainbows!
