After leaving Ellsworth, follow US 1 North to the southern entrance to Rte. 187. This is a scenic loop road that rejoins US Rte.1 a little further north. You may take either road. The southern entrance off US Rte. 1 will take you through the town of Jonesport, about ten miles, and then on to the cottage on the north side of town. Watch for the gray cottage and sign on your right about four miles from town. If you continue north along US Rte. 1 you will turn south on Rte. 187 for about six miles. The cottage will be on the left, again watch for a gray cottage and for the sign.
